Experts estimate American’s sugar consumption has doubled in the last 100 years from 20 to almost 40 teaspoons a day. This popular topic has been offered several times at Stanford in the Health Improvement Program and was the featured nutrition presentation at Stanford’s Healthy Women’s Retreat in the Sierras.
Janada Clark, MA - an instructor at Stanford’s HIP (Health Improvement Program) - will have on display common foods and their sugar content and be available for your questions from 11-2PM. Her presentation at 1 PM will help you sort out the facts about sugar and make healthier food choices when it comes to your sugar intake.

Love and Logic strongly supports the idea of children doing chores. Not only does it prepare them for the real world, doing chores is a way of reminding kids they are important to the family and that they can make valuable contributions. In other words, “doing chores” boosts a child’s self esteem.
